Many are grown in North America,Australia,New Zealand, and South American, while their English cousin, the bilberry, is grown inEurope.</p>
<p>The ones you find in stores, however, are usually from the species that grow naturally in eastern and north-centralNorth America.  In fact, words that translate to English as “blueberry” in other languages are really referring to the European bilberry.  How to tell the difference?  Cut the berry in half.  If it has a greenish or white flesh, it’s a ripe blueberry.  If it is purplish throughout, it’s really a bilberry or huckleberry.       <span id="more-779"></span></p>
<p>InEurope, highbush blueberries were first introduced in the thirties.  They were brought toGermanyand theNetherlandsfirst, thenHungary,Italy,Poland, and the other countries ofEurope. Today, blueberries are cultivated all over Europe, except in theUK,Ireland, andSpain.  In fact,Turkeyis a major source of Caucasian whortleberry, bilberry, and bog blueberry.  Just as North American blueberries are used in cooking and commercial food products, Turkish blueberries are made into jellies or eaten as dried or fresh fruit.  Many in theBlack Seaarea are wild, not cultivated.</p>
<p>In theUS,Maineproduces 25% of lowbush North American blueberries, which makes it the greatest producer of these blueberries in the world. Maine’s state fruit is the wild blueberry, and the state claims many festivals in honor of the blueberry.  WhileMaineis the leader in lowbush production,Michiganis the highbush blueberry capital, although there are also farms inFlorida,North Carolina, andGeorgia.</p>
<p>In Canada, blueberries are the largest fruit crop produced. British   Columbiais the largest producer of highbush blueberries. Quebecproduces mostly wild blueberries, butNova   Scotiais still the leader in wild blueberry production.  About half of the total North American cultivation of blueberries comes from Atlantic Canada.</p>
<p>There are many uses for blueberries, including fruit juice, purees, pies, cereals, snack bars, muffins, jellies, jams, or simply popping them fresh into the mouth.  Additionally, blueberries are rich in manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin K, calcium, and fiber.  They also have cancer fighters, such as anthocyanins, antioxidants, and phytochemicals.</p>
<p>Early studies also show that consuming berries like blueberries might help slow Alxheimer’s decline, block the replication of hepatitis C, and slow the spread of other diseases.  It can reduce the effects of stroke, and possibly prevent urinary tract infections.  Blueberries have cholesterol and blood pressure lowering properties, and might improve memory.</p>

Pyridoxine plays a major role in preventing heart disease. Without adequate pyridoxine, homocysteine level increases and buildup the plaque to prevent the natural healing power of the human body. HCG is supposed to work as a suppressant to reduce a person&#8217;s appetite, but the use of this hormone has been highly controversial.</p>
<p>The process using the HCG hormones helps to ensure that the fat burned by the body is the fat that the body is trying to burn, rather than the healthy fat that is needed by the body to function properly. The HCG hormone helps to set a target weight that your body is more easily able to achieve, which helps your body to get accustomed to losing weight and more efficient and converting the fat into energy.       <span id="more-757"></span></p>
<p>The load days are the first two days of the HCG protocol, in which the dieter begins his treatment by eating food that are very high in fat. The dieter will also begin taking his daily dose of HCG, which is 60 drops for the first day. It is important that you take advantage of these load days, as they will help fill your cells with fat. This fat is needed to ensure that your body doesn&#8217;t shut down and act like it is being starved while you are going through the stage where you consume fewer calories than your body needs to function properly. Make sure that your food is truly high in fat, not just high in sugars or starches.</p>
<p>After the load days, the next step is the Very Low Calorie Diet stage, or VLCD. This is the part of the protocol in which the true weight loss will be achieved, and the diet followed is a very strict one. The list of foods that you can eat while on this very low calorie diet is incredibly limited, and the proteins, fruits, and vegetables that you are allowed to eat is kept to a minimum to ensure true weight loss. This phase can last from 4 to 8 ½ weeks, and each day the HCG drops will be taken by the dieter. On the three last days of the VLCD phase, the diet will be maintained but the dieter will no longer take the HCG drops.</p>
<p>Finally comes the two maintenance stages, which is required by the body in order to stabilize its rate of metabolism. The only sugar allowed to be eaten in the first few weeks are natural sugars found in vegetables and fruits, and the same goes for starches. The minimum daily calorie requirement in the maintenance stage is 1500 every day, and the foods that you are able to eat are much more varied than those allowed during the VLCD stage.</p>
<p>After completing six weeks in total of the maintenance stage, you are able to start the treatment again in order to continue losing weight.

<p>As with any problem, the solution begins with the willingness to acknowledge and confront the problem.  Failure to address the root cause of anxiety will result in a problem that can lead to further and more complicated situations such as loss of health, psychiatric problems and quite possibly loss of life.  It is very important that anxiety disorders are treated as soon as possible and are resolved quickly before they escalate.       <span id="more-745"></span></p>
